Applied Organization Health is a human capital consulting firm specializing in organization development, employee benefits, health and welfare actuarial valuation and analysis, and talent management.  We work as a team that calls upon our years of corporate and consulting experience to identify corporate challenges and solutions. We work jointly with clients to understand the current environment, identify issues and design creative solutions.
CONSULTING
We have over 30 years of experience collectively and individually in corporate and consulting roles. We use this experience to looking at issues in multiple ways -- We do not assume we understand everything because we are the experts. Rather, our approach is to discern what the situation calls for and how we can incorporate our experiences and expertise to a client's benefit. We believe that "not knowing" helps us bring greater adaptability to different contexts, greater flexibility into different situations, and more creativity in the approach to assessment and analysis in different settings.

As consultants, we help large and small multinationals, philanthropies, and non-profit boards to analyze and design organization, health and life benefit program strategies and plans.

Our program development incorporates significant academic experience gained during our time at Harvard University, where we study and research socio-cognitive approaches to individual and team dynamics. Our benefits consulting and actuarial group assists clients proactively and effectively manage their health and welfare programs. From strategic design through technical analysis, our mission is to create value for our clients by integrating our consulting work with rigorous actuarial and financial analysis to develop integrated, strategically-focused programs.
Our approach centers on helping clients understand the employee relations and the financial impacts of multiple plan designs, optimizing their choices to meet their business and human resource goals.

HUMAN RESOURCES AND ORGANIZATION CONSULTING
As senior executives, we call upon our experience in senior-level corporate and C-suite roles in Foundations, Financial Services, Government, and non-profits to understanding client contexts. We also utilize cross-sector consulting experience in the Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Spirits and Non-Profit Management Consulting. In both of these roles, we help organizations focus on internal issues of strategy alignment, cross-functional strategy, operations, human resources, transition, organization development, and decision making.
Our approaches are based both on our corporate experiences in multiple industries and sectors and on research gleaned through work in social and cognitive psychology at Harvard University. At Harvard, Deb and Francesco have performed research and taught using the framework of 40 years of cognitive reframing research developed by Harvard Professor Dr. Ellen Langer that has led to the development of behavioral economics as well as the relatively new field of mindfulness relying on changing perceptions to increase health and performance.
RESEARCH AND PROGRAMS
One of the unique areas of focus for our firm is the research and program development that we perform both at the university level and with clients preferring a customized approach to their work, particularly in the corporate mindfulness area. This work benefits from the significant expertise of our team in the areas of chronic illness and the application of the work in organizations as well as in the health industry itself.
